Bear the burden of your own self, and guard it well.

For the Guardian has lifted my burden from you.

Have you not seen a world pass away and be followed

By another, as though it were grazed herbage?

The minds have rusted and grown dull,

And no one has succeeded in polishing them.

Will you use reason for a moment, and seek a hobble

For your she-camel, or were you created without reason?

And how can I build well in a dwelling,

While the dwelling's master gives me notice to move?
