Learn from the days, for they speak;
Learn from the days, for they are expressive,
Their vicissitudes have never ceased to offer examples.
Their vicissitudes continuously strike parables.

No wondrous event has come to pass in your world
No wondrous event will pass in your life,
Without their showing you a likeness of what went before.
Without the days making it an example for you.
