By my life, what is lawful has indeed grown scarce for you;
By my life, the lawful has grown difficult for you,
And through ignorance, what is safeguarded and forbidden is held cheap.
While through ignorance what should be forbidden is slighted.

Yet in truth there are kinds of gold we behold
We behold: weight, permanence, and appearance.
