أَمّاas for المُجاوِرُthe neighbor فَاِرعَهُso care for him وَتَوَقَّهُand be wary of him
أَمّا المُجاوِرُ فَاِرعَهُ وَتَوَقَّهُ
وَاِستَعفِand ask to be spared رَبَّكَyour Lord مِنfrom جِوارِliving beside المُلحِدِthe unbeliever
وَاِستَعفِ رَبَّكَ مِن جِوارِ المُلحِدِ
As for your neighbor, care for him and be wary of him.
The neighbor lost himself in confusion and anxiety,
And ask your Lord to spare you living beside an unbeliever.
Beg your Lord to protect you from an atheist neighbor.
لَيسَis not الَّذيthe one who جَحَدَdenied المَليكَthe Sovereign وَقَدthough indeed بَدَتbecame manifest
لَيسَ الَّذي جَحَدَ المَليكَ وَقَد بَدَت
آياتُهُHis signs بِأَخٍa brother لِمَنto one who لَمdid not يَجحَدِdeny
آياتُهُ بِأَخٍ لِمَن لَم يَجحَدِ
He who denied the Sovereign, though manifest
He who denied the King when His signs were manifest,
were His signs, is no brother to one who did not deny.
Is no brother to one who did not deny.
وَأَرىand I see التَوَحُّدَsolitude فيin حَياتِكَyour life نِعمَةًa blessing
وَأَرى التَوَحُّدَ في حَياتِكَ نِعمَةً
فَإِنso if اِستَطَعتَyou can بُلوغَهattain it فَتَوَحَّدِthen live alone
فَإِن اِستَطَعتَ بُلوغَه فَتَوَحَّدِ
And I see solitude in your life as a blessing.
I see singleness in your life as a blessing,
So if you can attain it, live alone.
So if you can attain it, become single-minded.
