اللَهُ إِن أَعطاكَ يُجزِل

اللَهُ إِن أَعطاكَ يُجزِل

وَكَأَنَّ هَذا الدَهرَ يَهزِل

وَكَأَنَّ هَذا الدَهرَ يَهزِل

If God gives to you, He gives generously.

God, if He gives you plenty

And it is as though this age were jesting.

And time seems to slip away

كِسرى بَنى إِيوانَهُ

كِسرى بَنى إِيوانَهُ

وَالعَنكَبوتُ تَظَلُّ تَغزِل

وَالعَنكَبوتُ تَظَلُّ تَغزِل

Kisra built his vaulted hall,

Khosrau built his palace

And the spider keeps spinning.

While spiders spin their webs

هَل يَشعُرَنَّ المَيتُ إِن

هَل يَشعُرَنَّ المَيتُ إِن

ظَهرُ الثَرى بِالحَيِّ زُلزِل

ظَهرُ الثَرى بِالحَيِّ زُلزِل

Will the dead man feel it if

Does the dead feel

The earth's surface is shaken with the living upon it?

When the earth shakes the living?

أَرجُوا أَو اِعتَزَلوا فَإِن

أَرجُوا أَو اِعتَزَلوا فَإِن

ني عَن مَقامِكُم بِمَعزِلِ

ني عَن مَقامِكُم بِمَعزِلِ

Defer judgment, or withdraw, for

Hope or withdraw, for I

I stand apart from where you stand.

Am far from where you stand

قَد طالَ سَيري في الحَيا

قَد طالَ سَيري في الحَيا

ةِ وَلي بِبَطنِ الأَرضِ مَنزِلِ

ةِ وَلي بِبَطنِ الأَرضِ مَنزِلِ

Long has my journey been through life,

Long has my journey through life been

And I have a dwelling in the depths of the earth.

And in the belly of the earth, my home
