يَعيبُfinds fault أُناسٌsome people أَنَّthat قَوماًa group of people تَجَرَّدواthey stripped naked
يَعيبُ أُناسٌ أَنَّ قَوماً تَجَرَّدوا
لِحَمّامِهِمfor their bath نُصبَin full view of العُيونِthe eyes الشَوازِرِglaring askance
لِحَمّامِهِم نُصبَ العُيونِ الشَوازِرِ
Some people fault a group for stripping naked
For their bath, in full view of eyes that glare askance.
لَقَدindeed سَعِدواthey were fortunate إِنif كانَit was لَمdid not يَجرِoccur عِندَهُمamong them
لَقَد سَعِدوا إِن كانَ لَم يَجرِ عِندَهُم
مِنَof الوِزرِsin إِلّاexcept تَركُهُمtheir casting off لِلمَآزِرِof the loincloths
مِنَ الوِزرِ إِلّا تَركُهُم لِلمَآزِرِ
Fortunate indeed are they, if among them there has been
No sin but their casting off their loincloths.
