سواك على القطيعة والبعادِ
You think that I love a beloved
You think that I love another
other than you, despite estrangement and distance.
Besides you, though we're estranged and parted far
جحدتyou denied إذنthen موالاتيmy allegiance علياًAli
جحدت إذن موالاتي علياً
وقلتand you said بأننيthat I مولىa follower of زيادِZiyad
وقلت بأنني مولى زيادِ
Then you have denied my allegiance to Ali
Then you have denied my allegiance to Ali
and said that I am a follower of Ziyad.
And claimed that I follow Ziyad instead
