لي عِندَكُم دَينٌ وَلَكِن هَل لَهُ

لي عِندَكُم دَينٌ وَلَكِن هَل لَهُ

مِن طالِبٍ وَفُؤاديَ المَوهونُ

مِن طالِبٍ وَفُؤاديَ المَوهونُ

You owe me a debt, but does it have

I have with you a religion, but does it have

Any claimant, while my heart is enfeebled?

A seeker, while my infatuated heart pines?

فَكَأَنَّني أَلِفٌ وَلامٌ في الهَوى

فَكَأَنَّني أَلِفٌ وَلامٌ في الهَوى

وَكَأَنَّ مَوعِدَ وَصلِكُم تَنوينُ

وَكَأَنَّ مَوعِدَ وَصلِكُم تَنوينُ

So I am like an alif and a lam in love,

It's as if I were an Alif and Lam in love

And the appointed time for union with you is like tanwin.

And your tryst were naught but a Nunation sign
