الحبُّlove نارٌa fire وَالمَلامُand reproach مُثيرُهُits kindler
الحبُّ نارٌ وَالمَلامُ مُثيرُهُ
والجَفنُand the eyelid زَندٌa firestick وَالدُّموعُand the tears شَرارُsparks
والجَفنُ زَندٌ وَالدُّموعُ شَرارُ
Love is fire, and reproach its kindler.

لاdo not تَلحَreproach واعذِرand forgive إِنَّهاindeed, they are الأَهواءُthe passions إِنif
لا تَلحَ واعذِر إِنَّها الأَهواءُ إِن
