فَمَهماfor whenever تَمَسَّthey touch الحُرَّthe noble man تَمسَسهُthey touch him بِالضُرِّwith harm
So do not allow the days to touch me,
So let not the days be able to touch me,
For whenever they touch a noble man, they touch him with harm.
For no matter how often the free man is touched by harm,
وَأَنتَand you بِحَمدِwith praise to اللَهِGod أَعدَلُthe most just حاكِمٍjudge
فَلاso do not تَرفَعَنَّever lift الحَجرَthe legal restraint عَنfrom سَفَهِthe folly of الدَهرِTime
And you, praise be to God, are the most just of judges,
And you, by the praise of Allah, are the most just ruler,
So never lift the restraint on Time's folly.
So do not lift the stone from the folly of fate.
