O my dear brother, you have made death seem easy,
Oh brother, have you made the burden lighter
though my resolve used to falter before it.
While my resolve was too weak for it?
I make light of it وَقَدand already

Why should I not make light of it, when
Why shouldn't I make it lighter when
I have sent my soul ahead of my body?
I have put my soul before my body?

The world is not sated, nor
The world is not sated nor
is its thirst quenched without my blood and flesh.
Quenched but by my blood and flesh
