O Kaaba of beauty, which was visited
O Kaaba of beauty, visited
by her consecrated pilgrim, naked of union.
By pilgrims bare of any union,

Who can be sure, with the scorpion on the cheek, that
He who feels safe from scorpions in his cheek
a kiss will not pronounce a death sentence upon us?
