لاnot يُعجِزُeludes اللَهَGod هارِبٌa fugitive هَرَباby fleeing
سُبحانَهُglory be to Him مُدرِكٌone who overtakes إِذاwhen طَلَباHe pursues
No fugitive can elude God by fleeing.
God is not made helpless by a fleeing fugitive
Glory be to Him! When He pursues, He overtakes.
Glory be to Him, for He will reach when He desires
أَينَwhere يَفِرُّflees المَغرورُthe deluded one مِنfrom أَجَلٍan appointed death

Where can the deluded man flee from his appointed death,
Where can the deluded one flee from fate
and from affliction—both have been decreed?
And from the affliction destined for both

When he sees the sun entangled around him,
When he sees the sun entangled around him
he says, "A tool that brings me victory!"
He says "A tool that brings me conquest"
وَهيَand it بِمَنصوبِهاthrough what it has set up لَهُfor him شَرَكٌa snare

Yet it, through what it has set up, is a snare for him,
While it is, by its position, a partner to him
and with it he has set a trap for himself.
And he has, through it, imposed upon himself

May these ambitions find no refuge! They do not
No, these ambitions have ceased, no
tell those who harbor them anything but lies.
They speak nothing but lies to their people

O kindler of oppression, indeed its kindler
O igniter of rebellion, indeed its igniter
burns in his own fire as firewood.
Lights a fire with it to burn firewood
عَمائِمٌturbans لِلسِنانِfor the spearhead تُلبِسُهاyou clothe it in them الرُمthe spear (first part of الرمح)
حَcompletion of الرمح: spear وَتُرخيand you let hang لَهاfor them الدِماblood عَذَباtassels
Turbans for the spearhead: you clothe the spear in them,
Turbans for the teeth, dressed by spears
and let blood trail from them as tassels.
And blood is shed for them, fresh
وَتَستَبيحُand you lay waste to العِداthe enemy بِهاwith them قُضُباًas branches

And with them you lay the enemy low like branches,
And they allow themselves violations with them, clubs
drawing blades for them on the day of battle.
That on the day of battle, drag clubs for them
