إِنَّ الشَجاعَةَ وَهيَ مِن أَوصافِهِ

إِنَّ الشَجاعَةَ وَهيَ مِن أَوصافِهِ

غَلَبَت عَلَيهِ فَهيَ مِن أَسمائِهِ

غَلَبَت عَلَيهِ فَهيَ مِن أَسمائِهِ

Indeed, courage, though one of his qualities,

Courage, which is one of his attributes

has prevailed over him, becoming one of his names.

Overcame him, so it is one of his names

يَقري الطُيورَ طِعانَهُ فَضُيوفُهُ

يَقري الطُيورَ طِعانَهُ فَضُيوفُهُ

تَنتابُهُ مِن أَرضِهِ وَسَمائِهِ

تَنتابُهُ مِن أَرضِهِ وَسَمائِهِ

He feasts the birds on his spear-thrusts, so his guests

He feeds the birds his crumbs, so they are his guests

visit him from his land and his sky.
