إِنif راعَناalarmed us المَرَضُthe illness الخَفيفُmild فَبَعدَهُthen after it
إِن راعَنا المَرَضُ الخَفيفُ فَبَعدَهُ
قَدindeed راقَناdelighted us هَذاthis الشِفاءُthe recovery الراجِحُgreater
قَد راقَنا هَذا الشِفاءُ الراجِحُ
If the mild illness alarmed us, afterward
If a mild illness has afflicted us, after it
This greater recovery has indeed delighted us.
We have found this complete cure.
ياO لَيلَةًnight قَدindeed باتَhe spent the night فيهاin it صالِحاًin good health
يا لَيلَةً قَد باتَ فيها صالِحاً
قَوليsay لَهُto him سَهِرَkept vigil الدُعاءُthe prayer الصالِحُrighteous
قَولي لَهُ سَهِرَ الدُعاءُ الصالِحُ
O night in which he spent the night in good health,
O night in which the righteous passed!
Tell him: the righteous prayer kept vigil.
Tell him the prayers of the righteous kept vigil.
