I cast a glance at him, and bewilderment seized
my mind’s subtle workings at his wondrous qualities.
فَأَوحىso whispered إِلَيهِto him القَلبُthe heart أَنّيthat I أُحِبُّهُI love him

So my heart whispered to him that I loved him,
and that surmise left its mark upon his cheeks.
