O dwelling of theirs, once you were their home through all their days;
O their abode, you were once a home for their time;
and after they dwelt there, Time itself moved on.
And after its stay there, Time moved on.

I seek the wealth that frees me from dependence on people—and wealth,
I seek wealth that frees me from needing people; and wealth,
if it drives me to turn to them, is poverty itself.
If it forces me to turn to them, is poverty.
