وَتَأخيرُهاand postponing it مِنّيon my part عَلىdespite عَزمِresolve جودِهِhis generosity
وَتَأخيرُها مِنّي عَلى عَزمِ جودِهِ
دَليلٌproof عَلىof أَلّاthat not يُقَدِّمَهاbring it forward خَلقُany creature
دَليلٌ عَلى أَلّا يُقَدِّمَها خَلقُ
And I delay it, trusting his resolve to give,
And my postponing it, despite his resolve to be generous,
proof that no mortal can hasten it.

وَليand I have حاجَةٌa need فيfor راتِبٍa stipend قَدalready سَبَقتُهُمI preceded them
وَلي حاجَةٌ في راتِبٍ قَد سَبَقتُهُم
إِلَيهِto it وَماand not بِالسَبقِby being first يُلتَمَسُis sought الرِزقsustenance
إِلَيهِ وَما بِالسَبقِ يُلتَمَسُ الرِزق
I have a need concerning a stipend; I reached it before them,
And I have need of a stipend; I have preceded them
yet provision is not won by coming first.
in seeking it, yet sustenance is not sought by being first.
