بِمَن أَنتَ مِن بَعدِ الحَبيبِ مُوَلَّعُ

بِمَن أَنتَ مِن بَعدِ الحَبيبِ مُوَلَّعُ

وَهَل لَكَ مِن بَعدِ الشَبيبَةِ مَطمَعُ

وَهَل لَكَ مِن بَعدِ الشَبيبَةِ مَطمَعُ

With whom are you enamored after the beloved?

With whom are you infatuated after the beloved

And have you any hope after youth?

And do you still have ambition after youth

نَعَم لِيَ في دَهرِ الشَبيبَةِ مَطمَعٌ

نَعَم لِيَ في دَهرِ الشَبيبَةِ مَطمَعٌ

بِأَمري الَّذي إِذ يأمُرُ الدَهرَ يَسمَعُ

بِأَمري الَّذي إِذ يأمُرُ الدَهرَ يَسمَعُ

Yes, I have hope for the days of youth,

Yes, I still have ambition in the time of youth

Through my command, which Time obeys when it commands Time.

With my Lord who, when He commands time, is obeyed
