وَأَبقىand he left enduring بِهاthrough it فيupon جَبهَةِthe brow الدَهرِof time أَسطُراًlines
وَأَبقى بِها في جَبهَةِ الدَهرِ أَسطُراً
إِذاif ماever (emphatic) اِنمَحىis effaced خَطُّthe script الكَواكِبِof the stars لاnot تُمحىare erased
إِذا ما اِنمَحى خَطُّ الكَواكِبِ لا تُمحى
And through it he left enduring lines upon the brow of time,
And I will keep it in the brow of time as lines
Which, even if the script of the stars is effaced, will not be erased.
That will not be erased when the stars' script fades
إِذاwhen جاءَcomes نَصرُhelp اللَهِof God فَالفَتحُthen the conquest بَعدَهُafter it
إِذا جاءَ نَصرُ اللَهِ فَالفَتحُ بَعدَهُ
وَقَدand indeed جاءَhas come نَصرُhelp اللَهِof God فَليَرقُبِso let him await الفَتحاthe conquest
وَقَد جاءَ نَصرُ اللَهِ فَليَرقُبِ الفَتحا
When God's help comes, conquest follows it;
When God's victory comes, triumph follows after
And God's help has indeed come—so let him await the conquest.
