وَماand not أَناI مِنof أَنthat يَجمَعَmay bring together اللَهُGod شَملَناour company
وَما أَنا مِن أَن يَجمَعَ اللَهُ شَملَنا
بِأَحسَنِin the best ماwhat كُنّاwe were عَلَيهِin it بِآيِسِdespairing
بِأَحسَنِ ما كُنّا عَلَيهِ بِآيِسِ
And I do not despair of God reuniting us
I do not despair that Allah will unite us
In the best state we once enjoyed.
In a state better than what we were in despair of
