وَأَحسَنُand better مِنthan نَيلِattaining الوِزارَةِthe vizierate لِلفَتىfor the young man
وَأَحسَنُ مِن نَيلِ الوِزارَةِ لِلفَتى
حَياةٌa life تُريهِshows him مَصرَعَthe death of الوُزَراءِthe viziers
حَياةٌ تُريهِ مَصرَعَ الوُزَراءِ
And better for a young man than attaining the vizierate
Better for a man than attaining rank's heights,
Is a life that lets him witness the death of viziers.
Is a life that shows him where ministers meet their fates.
