وَمِنَand among الغَرائِبِwonders أَنthat تَسيرَtravel غَرائِبٌwonders
وَمِنَ الغَرائِبِ أَن تَسيرَ غَرائِبٌ
فيin الأَرضِthe land لَمdid not يَعلَمknow بِهاof them المَأمولُthe one hoped for
في الأَرضِ لَم يَعلَم بِها المَأمولُ
And among wonders is that wonders travel
Among the wonders is that wonders
Through the land, unknown to the one in whom hope is placed.
Walk the earth, unknown to expectation,
كَالعِيَسِlike pale camels أَقتَلُmost deadly ماwhen يَكونُis لَهاfor them الظَلماthirst (apparently intended)
كَالعِيَسِ أَقتَلُ ما يَكونُ لَها الظَلما
وَالماءُand the water فَوقَupon ظُهورِهاtheir backs مَحمولُcarried
وَالماءُ فَوقَ ظُهورِها مَحمولُ
Like pale camels, when thirst is deadliest for them,
Like Jesus - I destroy injustice
While water is carried upon their backs.
Though it be carried on men's shoulders aloft.
