البِرُّgoodness حِصنٌa fortress لِلمَذَمَّهagainst reproach
البِرُّ حِصنٌ لِلمَذَمَّه
وَالبِرُّand goodness كَنزٌa treasure لِلمُلِمهfor calamity
وَالبِرُّ كَنزٌ لِلمُلِمه
Goodness is a fortress against reproach,
Goodness is a fortress for the blamed
and goodness is a treasure for calamity.
And goodness is a treasure for the indicted
كَمhow many a نِعمَةٍblessing لِلَهِfrom God يَعfirst part of 'recognizes it'
كَم نِعمَةٍ لِلَهِ يَع
رفُهاremainder of 'recognizes it' الفَتىthe young man فيin فَوتِthe loss of نِعمَهa blessing
رفُها الفَتى في فَوتِ نِعمَه
How many a blessing from God
How many blessings of God does the youth
a young man recognizes when a blessing is lost!
Recognize when he misses out on them
