ألَم تَرَ أَنَّ المَرءَ تَذوي يَمينُهُ

ألَم تَرَ أَنَّ المَرءَ تَذوي يَمينُهُ

فَيَقطَعُها عَمداً لِيَسلَمَ سائِرُهُ

فَيَقطَعُها عَمداً لِيَسلَمَ سائِرُهُ

Have you not seen how a man's right hand withers,

Don't you see how a man's right hand withers?

so he deliberately cuts it off, that the rest of him may survive?

So he cuts it off deliberately to save the rest of him
