إِن لَم نَرامُ مِنكُمُ الكَواهِلا
You have become ignorant of me, O son of Harb,
You have become, O son of war, ignorant
You have become ignorant of me, O son of Harb,
If we do not aim at your shoulders
Unless we see broad shoulders from you
If we do not strike at the very withers of your shoulders,
بِالحَقِّwith truth وَالحَقُّand truth يُزيلُdispels الباطِلاfalsehood

هَذا لَكَ العامُ وَعامٌ قابِلا
With truth—and truth dispels falsehood—
With truth, for truth removes falsehood
With the Truth—and the Truth obliterates falsehood,
For you, this year and the year to come.
This year is for you, and next year in response
This is your lot for this year, and for the year to follow.
