فَإِنَّfor indeed اللَياليthe nights بِالخَطوبِwith calamities حَوامِلُpregnant
فَإِنَّ اللَيالي بِالخَطوبِ حَوامِلُ
Whenever a calamity from time befalls you, endure patiently.
When a calamity of fate befalls you, endure with patience,
For the nights are pregnant with calamities.
For the nights are indeed pregnant with tribulations.
وَكُلُّand all الَّذيthat which يَأتيcomes بِهِwith it الدَهرُtime زائِلٌpassing away
وَكُلُّ الَّذي يَأتي بِهِ الدَهرُ زائِلٌ

سَريعاً فَلا تَجزَع لِما هُوَ زائِلُ
And all that time brings passes away
And all that Time brings forth is transient,
Swiftly; so do not be distraught over what passes away.
Passing swiftly, so do not despair over what is fleeting.
