Tribulations befall them, spreading far and wide.
Temptations come upon them while they are streets
Tribulations descend upon them, gaping wide and manifest,
The last of them are made to drink from the cup of the first.
The ends of which are watered with the cup of the first
The last of them are made to drink from the cup of the first.

Tribulations that, when they descend upon a bondwoman's courtyard,
When temptations descend upon the square of a nation
Tribulations which, if they alight in the courtyard of a nation,
Give notice of justice moving among them.
They herald justice moving among them
Signal a justice that shifts and circulates amongst them.
