هَذا لَكُم مِنَ الغُلامِ الغالِبي

هَذا لَكُم مِنَ الغُلامِ الغالِبي

مِن ضَربِ صِدقٍ وَقَضاءِ الوَاجِبِ

مِن ضَربِ صِدقٍ وَقَضاءِ الوَاجِبِ

This is for you from the Ghalibi youth:

This is from the victorious youth

This is your due from the Ghalibi youth,

True blows and the fulfillment of duty,

Of true courage and duty's decree,

A strike of truth that fulfills the duty,

وَفالِقِ الهَاماتِ وَالمَناكِبِ

وَفالِقِ الهَاماتِ وَالمَناكِبِ

أَحمي بِهِ قَماقِمَ الكَتائِبِ

أَحمي بِهِ قَماقِمَ الكَتائِبِ

And a cleaver of heads and shoulders;

The cleaver of stout necks and shoulders,

Cleaving through skulls and shoulders alike,

With it I protect the chieftains of the battalions.

With it I defend ranks of brave men.

With which I defend the commanders of the battalions.
