O wicked one, ignorant of lineage,

People come only from a mother and a father.

Do you think they were created from silver,

or iron, or copper, or gold?

Rather, you see they were created from clay.

Are they anything but flesh, bone, and sinew?

Pride lies only in a steadfast mind,

and modesty, chastity, and good manners.
