لاnot يَستَويis equal مَنone who يَعمُرُbuilds المَساجِداthe mosques

Not equal is one who builds the mosques,
Not equal are those who dwell in mosques
Not equal is he who builds the mosques,
And one who spends the night bowing and prostrating,
And those who bow and prostrate through the night
And he who passes the night bowing and prostrating,

وَمَن يَكُرُّ هَكَذا مُعانِدا
He toils tirelessly in them, bowing and prostrating,
Devoting themselves to bowing and prostration
Toiling therein, bowing and prostrating,
And one who returns like this, defiant,
And those who defiantly resist this way
And he who returns to the task with stubborn resolve,

وَمَن يَرى عَنِ الغُبارِ حائِداً
And standing at times, and at times sitting,
Standing at times, at times sitting
Standing at times, and at times sitting,
And one who looks on, turning away from the dust.
And those who turn away from the dust
And he who is seen swerving away from the dust.
