عِش موسِراً إِن شِئتَ أَو مُعسِراً

عِش موسِراً إِن شِئتَ أَو مُعسِراً

لا بُدَّ في الدُنيا مِن الغَمِّ

لا بُدَّ في الدُنيا مِن الغَمِّ

Live in affluence, if you wish, or in poverty;

Live in luxury or live modestly

Live prosperous if you wish, or destitute,

There is no escaping sorrow in this world.

There is no avoiding sorrow in this world

For grief is inevitable in this world.

دُنياكَ بِالأَحزانِ مَقرونَةٌ

دُنياكَ بِالأَحزانِ مَقرونَةٌ

لا تقطَعِ الدُنيا بِلا هَمِّ

لا تقطَعِ الدُنيا بِلا هَمِّ

Your worldly life is bound to sorrows;

Your life is tied to sadness

Your world is yoked to sorrows;

You do not pass through this world without worry.

Do not expect to live without worries

You shall not traverse life without care.
