I shall surely bring against al-ʿĀṣī, son of al-ʿĀṣī,
I will lead the rebel son of the rebel,
I shall surely bring against al-Asi, son of al-Asi,
Seventy thousand who bind the forelocks,
Seventy thousand tightly-bound men,
Seventy thousand with forelocks knotted tight,

Clad in rings of polished mail,
With shaved heads devoid of hair,
Clad in the rings of smooth, glittering mail,
Who have already led the horses alongside the young she-camels,
Who have rested their steeds along with their weapons,
Leading horses alongside young she-camels,

Lions of the thicket, when there is no escape.
Lions of a dense forest when there is no escape.
Lions of the thicket when there is no escape.
