O you vile slave, called forth!

O you vile, base-born slave summoned to the fray,
If you are a lover of death, then draw near.
If you love death, then approach
If you hold a love for death, then draw near!

And stand firm a little while, you rabid dog!
And stand still, slowly, O dog, O dog
Stand your ground a moment, O rabid dog,
Or else turn away in flight, then retreat.
Or do not flee away then return
Or turn your back to flee, and retreat.
