Take it, filled to the brim, overflowing—
Here, take it—brimming and overflowing,
an empty cup, stirred with bitter brine.
A hollow cup that has surged with bitter venom,

We are indeed a people who do not see what he has faced.
For we are a people who heed not what is faced,
I cleave heads and sever a leg.
Splitting the skull and severing the shin.
