فاطِمُFatima ياO بِنتَdaughter of النَبِيِّthe Prophet أَحمَدِAhmad
فاطِمُ يا بِنتَ النَبِيِّ أَحمَدِ
بِنتَdaughter of نَبِيٍّa prophet سَيِّدٍa leader مُسَوَّدٍacknowledged as chief
بِنتَ نَبِيٍّ سَيِّدٍ مُسَوَّدٍ
Fatima, O daughter of the Prophet Ahmad,
O Fatima, daughter of the Prophet Ahmad,
Daughter of a prophet, a leader acknowledged as chief,
Daughter of a Prophet, a master and exalted chief,
هَذاthis أَسيرٌa captive جاءَhas come لَيسَis not يَهتَديfinding his way
هَذا أَسيرٌ جاءَ لَيسَ يَهتَدي
مُكَبَّلٌshackled فيin قَيدِهِhis fetters المُقَيِّدِrestraining
مُكَبَّلٌ في قَيدِهِ المُقَيِّدِ
Here is a captive who has come, unable to find his way,
Here is a captive who has come, bereft of guidance,
Shackled in his restraining fetters.
Shackled fast within his binding fetters,
يَشكوhe complains إِلَيناto us الجُوعَhunger وَالتَشَدُّدِand hardship
يَشكو إِلَينا الجُوعَ وَالتَشَدُّدِ
مَنwhoever يُطعِمُgives food اليَومَtoday يَجِدهُwill find it فيin غَدِtomorrow
مَن يُطعِمُ اليَومَ يَجِدهُ في غَدِ
He complains to us of hunger and hardship.
Complaining to us of hunger and deep affliction,
Whoever gives food today will find it tomorrow,
Whoever feeds the hungry today shall find it tomorrow,
عِندَwith العَلِيِّthe Most High الواحِدِthe One المُوَحَّدِacknowledged as One
عِندَ العَلِيِّ الواحِدِ المُوَحَّدِ
ماwhatever يَزرَعُsows الزارِعُthe sower يَوماًone day يَحصُدِhe will reap
ما يَزرَعُ الزارِعُ يَوماً يَحصُدِ
With the Most High, the One, whose oneness is affirmed.
In the presence of the Most High, the One, the Absolute,
What the sower sows, he will one day reap.
For what the sower plants one day, he shall surely reap.
