مَتىwhen تَجَمَعِyou unite القَلبَthe heart الذَكيَّdiscerning وَصارِماًand a sharp sword
مَتى تَجَمَعِ القَلبَ الذَكيَّ وَصارِماً
وَأَنفاًand a nose (symbolizing honor) حَميّاًfiercely proud تَجتَنبكَwill avoid you المَظالِمُinjustices
وَأَنفاً حَميّاً تَجتَنبكَ المَظالِمُ
When you unite a discerning heart and a sharp sword,
When will the wise heart and firm
When you combine a keen heart and a sharp sword,
And a fiercely proud nose, injustices will keep clear of you.
And the proud nose avoid injustice
And a proud, unyielding spirit, injustices will shun you.
