A witless astrologer frightened me:

An astrologer, a brother of madness, sought to frighten me,

Mars went retrograde in the house of Aries.

With Mars retrograding in the House of Aries.

فَقُلتُ دَعني مِن أَكاذيبِ الحِيَل

فَقُلتُ دَعني مِن أَكاذيبِ الحِيَل

المُشتَري عِندي سَواءٌ وَزُحَل

المُشتَري عِندي سَواءٌ وَزُحَل

So I said: Spare me the lies of trickery.

So I said: Spare me from these deceitful fabrications,

Jupiter and Saturn are the same to me.

For Jupiter and Saturn are the same to me.

أَدفَع عَن نَفسي أَفانينَ الدُّوَل

أَدفَع عَن نَفسي أَفانينَ الدُّوَل

بِخالِقي وَرازِقي عَزَّ وَجَل

بِخالِقي وَرازِقي عَزَّ وَجَل

I shield myself from fortune’s many turns

I ward off the shifting turns of fortune from my soul,

through my Creator and my Provider—mighty and majestic is He.

By my Creator and Sustainer, the Mighty, the Majestic.
