أَتَأمُرُني بِالصَبرِ في نَصرِ أَحمَدٍ

أَتَأمُرُني بِالصَبرِ في نَصرِ أَحمَدٍ

فَوَاللَهِ ما قُلتُ الَّذي قُلتُ جازِعاً

فَوَاللَهِ ما قُلتُ الَّذي قُلتُ جازِعاً

Do you command me to be patient in supporting Ahmad?

Do you command me to have patience regarding the support of Ahmad?

For, by God, I did not say what I said in anguish.

For by Allah, I spoke not what I spoke out of impatience,

وَلَكِنَّني أَحبَبتُ أَن تَرَ نُصرَتي

وَلَكِنَّني أَحبَبتُ أَن تَرَ نُصرَتي

لِتَعلَمَ أَنّي لَم أَزَل لَكَ طائِعاً

لِتَعلَمَ أَنّي لَم أَزَل لَكَ طائِعاً

But I wished you to see my support,

But rather I desired that you witness my aid,

so you would know that I have always been obedient to you.

That you might know I remain ever obedient to you.

وَسَعيِي لَوَجهِ اللَهِ في نَصرِ أَحمَدٍ

وَسَعيِي لَوَجهِ اللَهِ في نَصرِ أَحمَدٍ

نَبيِّ الهدى المَحمودِ طِفلاً ويافِعاً

نَبيِّ الهدى المَحمودِ طِفلاً ويافِعاً

And my striving is for God's sake, in support of Ahmad,

And my striving is for the sake of Allah in the support of Ahmad,

the Prophet of guidance, praised as a child and as a youth.
