What excuse have I, when I am hardy and resolute?
What weakness is mine, when I am sturdy and resolute,
And in my right hand is a keen-edged sword;
And in my right hand is a sharp, severing blade,

And on my right are Madhhij, the mighty chiefs;

And Hamdan and the nobles have advanced.
And Hamdan has advanced alongside the noble ones,

I have sworn by God, the Most High, the All-Knowing:
I have sworn by God, the Exalted, the All-Knowing,
I will not turn back until I have driven the foe back, humbled,

Striding like fully mature, massive camels.
Advancing with the heavy stride of full-grown camels.
