أَخٌa brother طاهِرُpure الأَخلاقِcharacter عَذبٌsweet كَأَنَّهُas though he were
أَخٌ طاهِرُ الأَخلاقِ عَذبٌ كَأَنَّهُ
جَناharvest (honey) النَحلِthe bees مَمزوجاًmingled بِماءِwith water غُمامِclouds
جَنا النَحلِ مَمزوجاً بِماءِ غُمامِ
A brother of pure character, sweet, as though he were
A brother of pure character, sweet as though he were
A brother of pure character, sweet as though he were
the bees’ honey mingled with water from clouds.
A bee garden blended with rain cloud water.
The harvest of bees blended with the water of clouds;
يَزيدُgrows عَلىover الأَيّامِthe days فَضلُabundance of مَوَّدَةٍaffection
يَزيدُ عَلى الأَيّامِ فَضلُ مَوَّدَةٍ
وَشِدَّةُand intensity of إِخلاصٍsincerity وَرَعيَand care for ذِمامِbonds of loyalty
وَشِدَّةُ إِخلاصٍ وَرَعيَ ذِمامِ
His abundant affection grows with the passing days,
His excellence grows beyond days, with affection
He increases, as days pass, in the bounty of affection,
as do his deep sincerity and his care for bonds of loyalty.
And loyalty's intensity, pious self-restraint.
In strength of sincerity, and the guarding of covenants.
