جَزى اللَهُ عَنّا المَوتَ خَيراً فَإِنَّهُ

جَزى اللَهُ عَنّا المَوتَ خَيراً فَإِنَّهُ

أَبَرُّ بِنا مِن كُلِ شَيءٍ وَأَرأَفُ

أَبَرُّ بِنا مِن كُلِ شَيءٍ وَأَرأَفُ

May God reward death with good on our behalf, for it

May Allah reward us for death, for it

May God reward Death with goodness on our behalf, for it is

is kinder to us than anything else, and more compassionate.

Is kinder to us than all else and more merciful.

More benevolent to us than all things, and more compassionate.

يَعجِّلُ تَخليصَ النُفوسِ مِنَ الأَذى

يَعجِّلُ تَخليصَ النُفوسِ مِنَ الأَذى

وَيُدني مِنَ الدارِ التَّي هيَ أَشرَفُ

وَيُدني مِنَ الدارِ التَّي هيَ أَشرَفُ

It hastens the deliverance of souls from harm,

It hastens to free the soul from harm

It hastens the liberation of souls from harm,

and brings us nearer to the abode that is more exalted.

And brings us closer to the most noble abode.

And brings them closer to the Abode that is most noble.
