أَيwhich يَومَيَّmy two days مِنَfrom المَوتَdeath أَفِرI flee
أَي يَومَيَّ مِنَ المَوتَ أَفِر
يَومَa day لاnot يَقدِرُit is decreed أَوor يَومَa day قَدِرit was decreed
يَومَ لا يَقدِرُ أَو يَومَ قَدِر
On which of my two days shall I flee death?
Which of my two appointed days shall I flee from death,
From which of my two days should I flee death?
A day when it is not decreed, or a day when it is decreed?
The day that is foreordained or the day of fate?
The day it is not decreed, or the day it is decreed?
يَومَa day ماnot قُدِّرَit was decreed لاnot أَرهَبُهُI fear it
يَومَ ما قُدِّرَ لا أَرهَبُهُ
وَإِذاand when قَدِّرَit was decreed لاnot يُنجيsaves الحَذَرcaution
وَإِذا قَدِّرَ لا يُنجي الحَذَر
On a day when it has not been decreed, I do not fear it.
The day that is predestined I do not fear,
The day it is not decreed, I do not fear it,
And when it is decreed, caution does not save.
And if it is destined, caution will not deliver me.
And when it is decreed, caution cannot save.
