1. كاذ الذي أمسيت عبدا له

    وهو عزيزٌ لوصالي مُجيز

    That one whose slave I have become,

    Though exalted, grants me union.

  2. عبدي في الحب إمام الورى

    وهل إمامٌ مثل عبد العزيز

    My slave in love is the leader of humankind;

    And is there a leader like Abd al-Aziz?

  3. نعني به المولى أبا فارس

    من يسُبك القول بلفظ وجيز

    By him we mean the lord Abu Faris,

    Who casts speech in concise words.
