ألا رُبّ مولود أتاك مباركٌ

ألا رُبّ مولود أتاك مباركٌ

بمحياهُ في الدُّنيا سعدنا وفي الأخرى

بمحياهُ في الدُّنيا سعدنا وفي الأخرى

Lo, many a blessed newborn has come to you;

Behold, many a newborn comes to you blessed,

Through his countenance we have found happiness in this world and the next.

His life in this world brings us joy, and in the next felicity.

وفي أفقها العذراءُ لمّا بدا بدت

وفي أفقها العذراءُ لمّا بدا بدت

ونادى العلى أرّخ له الطّالعُ العذرا

ونادى العلى أرّخ له الطّالعُ العذرا

And on its horizon Virgo appeared when he appeared;

And on her horizon the maiden when first seen appeared,

And Glory cried: 'Record his date: the ascendant is Virgo.'

The Most High called: Record for him the auspicious horoscope!
