لمdid not أنسI forget إذwhen أذكرنيreminded me باللوىof al-Liwā
لم أنس إذ أذكرني باللوى
أخبارaccounts منthose who فيin الفضلmerit قدalready بُرزواthey were distinguished
أخبار من في الفضل قد بُرزوا
I have not forgotten when I was reminded of al-Liwā
When you remind me of those in anguish,
by accounts of those who had been distinguished in merit.
I do not forget the fate of the virtuous.
قالhe said وهلand is there? منany محرزone who attains للعلىof the heights
قال وهل من محرز للعلى
فيin عصرناour age قلتI said لهاto her مُحرزMuhriz
في عصرنا قلت لها مُحرز
He said, “And is there anyone who attains the heights
She asked, "Is there refuge for the exalted
in our age?” I said to her, “Muhriz.”
in our time?" I said, "There is a refuge."
