لا تحسبوا عاشُورَ تاب عن الخنا

لا تحسبوا عاشُورَ تاب عن الخنا

أو ما مشهورُ

أو ما مشهورُ

Do not think Ashur has repented of obscenity.

Do not think that Ashura has repented from sin,

Or is he not well known?

Or what is well known,

ما أن يعّف عن الحرام وإنّما

ما أن يعّف عن الحرام وإنّما

يأتي بكلّ مُحرّم عاشُورُ

يأتي بكلّ مُحرّم عاشُورُ

He does not abstain from the forbidden; rather,

It does not abstain from the unlawful, rather

Ashur commits every forbidden act.

Ashura brings every unlawfulness.
