مطلعي أئقلُ في أعينهم
وعلىand upon أنفسهمtheir souls منthan أحُدUhud
وعلى أنفسهم من أحُد
My appearance weighs heavier in their eyes
My heart heavier in their eyes
And upon their souls than Uhud.
Than themselves and anyone
لوif رآنيhe saw me وسطamid بحرa sea لمnot يكنbe
لو رآني وسط بحر لم يكن
أحدٌanyone يأخُذُtakes منهمamong them بيديby my hand
أحدٌ يأخُذُ منهم بيدي
If someone saw me in the midst of a sea, there would be
If they saw me in the middle of the sea
No one among them to take me by the hand.
No one would take me by the hand
