And a bough whose growth came from the river of my tears;
And a branch whose growth came from the river of my tears;
and the source of delight from his mouth is a river of Kawthar.
And love’s wellspring is a river of Kawthar flowing from his mouth;

For my tears are but a Ja‘far—a river—born of love for him;
For tears are nothing but a stream of longing for him;
and among the boughs he is none but Ibn Ja‘far.
And among the branches he is none other than Ibn Ja‘far.
