برشا جُفونُ لحاظه مكسوره

برشا جُفونُ لحاظه مكسوره

Woe to those who defied me and secluded themselves

with a young gazelle whose eyes have languid lids.

فبقيتُ طُول اللّيل عيني نحوهُم

فبقيتُ طُول اللّيل عيني نحوهُم

ممدُودةٌ منّي إلى المقصورة

ممدُودةٌ منّي إلى المقصورة

So I spent the whole night with my eye toward them,

stretched out from me toward the secluded chamber.
